Is your personal data exposed?

What is the Dark Web?

The dark web is a concealed part of the internet that operates beyond the reach of standard search engines and is often used by cybercriminals to trade stolen data and illicit tools. If your personal or organisational information appears there, it could be exploited for identity theft, fraud, or targeted cyber attacks.

Our Dark Web Monitoring Service helps detect whether your data has been exposed on underground networks. By continuously scanning these hidden sources for compromised credentials and sensitive information, we enable you to act quickly to mitigate risks, strengthen security measures, and prevent further damage.

What does the service provide?

The solution scans the Dark Web for any user information (i.e. personal data) associated with the organisations domain e.g. mycompany.com.

The solution scans for historical breaches and new breaches associated with the domain.

The solution is designed to monitor all third- party data breaches where user data has been released onto the Dark Web.

For example: A person has accessed a travel website and used their company email address as part of their interaction with the website. Perhaps this is a website that requires users to log in to see their itinerary etc.

If that website suffers a data breach, then the users’ work credentials are exposed. That email address may also be accompanied by a password as part of the breach. The user could have used their same password that they have at work.

In the above scenario, their work username and password are now exposed on the Dark Web.

Our audits are generally completed over Microsoft Teams. If there is a requirement to attend your location, then this can also be provided at an additional cost.

Our internal audits take approximately 1.5 days to complete, normally a day for the audit itself and a half day for the audit report.

Organisations can interrogate the data with our Premium and Enhanced subscriptions.

This means that they can assess which user account has been compromised, when it occurred and what data is now on the Dark Web.

This allows for an informed decision to be made with regards to the remedial actions needed to reduce the risk.

Why is monitoring a good idea?

It is vital to know if your data has been exposed.  You cannot predict what may happen to that data but you can at least make an informed decision about any actions that can be taken to minimise the risk of the breach.

If user credentials are involved, the minimum action is to consider password changes. The impacted individuals can also make an informed estimation of their identity theft risk exposure.
